Now this 8 piece band whose music slips and slides across genre ‘creating dub-ambient-soul-funk from nowhere else but right here, right now' are taking their unique sound to Waiheke Island on Sat, Nov 1. Joining them is 20 year old Te Karehana Toi-Gardiner, performing a set of his own original compositions. A student of Contemporary Music at Unitec, T.K is also a finalist in the search for Soulfest's opening act.

Bagpipes meet taonga puoro and didgeridoo in a unique musical collaboration to be premiered at WOMAD New Zealand. Boomerang Project explores links between Celtic, Aboriginal and Maori cultures, through language, contemporary music, and dance.
Following its premiere at WOMAD New Zealand, Boomerang will travel on to the Homeground Festival at the Sydney Opera House, and the Heb Celt Festival, in Scotland’s Outer Hebrides Islands, and finally returning to Glasgow for the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
